Our Wedding Ceremony and Reception will be held at The Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archeology. Founded in 1683, the Ashmolean opened as Britain’s first public Museum and the world’s first University Museum. The world famous collections range from Egyptian mummies to Contemporary Art. You can read about the Ashmolean’s history and collection on their website. Some of the items that we especially like include:

Guy Fawkes’ Lantern (1605)
The Oxford Crown (1644)
Francesco Guardi - 'Venice' (1758)
Walter Sickert - 'Ethel Sands' (1914)
Fra Angelico - 'Crucifixion' (1420)
William Burges - 'The Great Bookcase' (1862)
Countermarked $50 US Banknote (late 20th century)
Dutch Still Life Paintings (17th century)

Try to look out for these on the day!
